President Biden and House Democrats celebrated overnight after the passage of the bipartisan $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill, which ended weeks of deadlock amid infighting between the party's moderates and progressives. "Tonight, we took a monumental step forward as a nation," Biden said in a statement issued by the White House early Saturday.

“ Have to keep primarying the losers”
You presume you have a national majority to elect 218 Republicans willing to do what must be done, but you don’t.
Yes, it is possible to punish a representative or two by “primarying” him in a district that already is very conservative.
But there are not 218 such districts. There aren’t 100.
Voting is the problem, it’s not the solution.
Sorry you don’t see the same as me but I’m not any happier than you sbout the problems. I still think we can save the republic this way. It won’t be easy.

I feel honored. Must be a record.

Thanks for the courteous reply (much rarer around here than it used to be).
The way I see it, both parties are split internally but both wings of the Democrats and half the Republicans want more or less the same things, where at least 30% of Republicans and on some issues up to 50% want what amounts to radical change.
There ARE “issues” where a sufficiently left wing Republican like Youngkin can capture Democratic VOTERS and win a contest in a blue state or district, but this never advances us (and more often causes backsliding) because no group or party proposes a PLATFORM that can consistently win enough Republicans AND Democrats to form a governing coalition.
Example #1 is the CDs that voted for Obama twice and then Trump. There were actually a lot of them. The Obama x 2 and then Trump voters are an example of how voting can, occasionally, create opportunities but also then how the existence of a major party (the GOP) that is half or more leftist and anti-white can strangle those chances in the cradle.
2017-2021 is a terrific tutorial for people like yourself who are serious about change.
Step #1? See my tagline.
It means that the other massive spending bill is dead in the Senate. They aren’t going to spend anymore money. This is not a win for Biden since the American People don’t care about it.
Not really a win for the Democrats since they won’t be able to get their large social spending bill past the Senate. That is why the Progressives wanted to keep both bills together.
Nothing to be depressed about. In a year we are going to win back the Congress! By passing this bill alone the Democrats ensured that the social bill won’t pass the Senate.
Great! Maybe “we” can get Paul Ryan to run for President!
“But for gold to become money, you need a STRONG government, not a weak one.”
Yep. Understood. PMs are just part of my financial portfolio.
Stocks, Bonds, PMs, no debt, cash on hand, paid for farm, prepper supplies, lead. (Not necessarily in that order, LOL!)
Leftists keep filling empty seats on the right. They talk a deceptive game posing as “moderates” just to get in
as for the six Rats...they are the Squad and they are out to get rid of GRANNY PELOSI who soon rolls over to 82...
It was all infrastructure work, which independent oversight of spending and no pork it would be one thing. We all know that is not the case.
How I loathe those people.
I despise, loathe and hate them all.
since the $3.5 trillion bill was free, will this one reduce the deficit by $2 trillion?
If both bills are passed, when the CBO puts real numbers to them (the demonKKKrats’ bill numbers are BS), we’ll be over $30 TRILLION, including unfunded liabilities.
My mind can’t even conceive of such numbers.
11 Assistant Democrats
You ain’t kidding, and all too sadly, most Americans don’t know it or feel it.
Yet another Friday night dump...on the gullible.
