Multiple people have reportedly been injured at the opening night of Travis Scott's sold-out Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas on Friday.
Dozens of ambulances, multiple medics and other personnel were seen tending to people at the third annual festival, a sold-out concert featuring multiple acts.
Videos posted to social media showed officials giving CPR to some fans in the crowd as Scott continued to play. Some appeared to have been badly bleeding, as fans say they saw some people appearing lifeless.
The Houston Fire Department told ABC 13 CPR was performed on at least two people, and Zack Tawatari, a reporter for KHOU, tweeted that he can confirm 'several people' have been transported to the hospital.
It remains unclear what caused the injuries, what the injuries were, and how many people were injured as of early Saturday morning, but authorities told FOX 26 that a lot of people are in need of medical attention on the scene....

Mobs, morons and mortalities. Stupids on steroids going monkey mashing.
Not my thing, but I guess this kind of event is a big deal to some young folks. Too bad too many got so carried away with mob mentality that it cost dearly.
Was this Grade C Rap?
It looks like about 80% black but thats not my point. If you act like a ass I will call you ass.
My daughter actually went to this last year. I just told her, she’s not doing that again.

Video of crowd rushing the gates...the event holders lost control of the crowd.
thanks. That was earlier in the day. I guess a similar thing happened once the concert actually started?
8 dead
11 in cardiac arrest
19-29 taken to hospital
stampede during crowd surge, trapped crushed.
Are we sure it’s not “Bad Acid” like at Woodstock I ?
Another kid reported he was caught up in a crowd rushing the stage in the afternoon. It scared him. He was off to the side when Travis Scott came on stage because he was a afraid it would happen again.
People are reporting to Lookner that the crowd was cramped and tight early in the day and that the problems began then with people being trapped. When the main act came on the crowd surged, trapped people fell. They were crushed and trampled in the surge.
wonder if vax had anything to do with amount of cardiac issues?
I attended concerts with mosh pits and if not for my brother ‘s quick thinking and strong body as we were younger then, I would have been injured when crowd surged toward stage. it’s a cool but scary (nowing you are no longer in control) feeling being pinned tightly between so many people all moving as one mass.
I praise and thank God alot still for all the stupidness I put myself through, yet He chose to protect me :)

I doubt it only because the avg age of rap fans (late teens/mid twenties) is the least likely to get vaccinated.
50,000 rap fans in one place - what could possibly go wrong?
True - during the concert the crowd kept pushing towards the stage and those in front were getting crushed (according to reports I have seen). Only time will sort out the full story.
It’s all C Rap to me.
;)
I can’t be the only one singing “The Mob Rules” in my head right now.
