I work with a company that has had drilling permit applications for drilling (no fracking) of four new wells in SE Utah on existing leases in a producing field, pending for 15 months now. The Farmington, New Mexico, Bureau of Land Management, Department of Interior, has been slow rolling approvals all year. Best case we get three of the four applications approved for drilling by May of next year. Of course this delay trashes our production profile and economics - not to mention loss of royalty under the lease, which is on Indian Land - not even Federal land.
