Traitors notwithstanding, how does a Harris president get a VP confirmed by a 50/50 Senate?
What would The Dome DO to get that VP?
You misunderstand.
Predicted scenario:
- Harris resigns (”overwhelming desire to spend more quality time with my Martha’s Vineyard villa”)
- Biden nominates replacement (someone with a good solid grounding in communist theory)
- Whipping the Left into line, and harping hard on the “advise and consent” clause with the Right (only need one “not my place to get political, only voting on quality of nominee” sparked by a keen interest in closet skeletons)
- Nominee gets replaced on a party-line-plus-one vote
- Biden suffers a “lingering debilitating illness”* shortly thereafter
- New VP becomes POTUS
- Next VP nominated & rammed thru, not that anyone cares at this point.
Democrats oppose democracy.
Democrats don’t let a crisis go to waste.
They won’t fill the position until after the next Presidential election...especially if the Republicans win back the House of Representatives, because their choice of Speaker of the House would be the next in line for the Presidency!
It wouldn’t be the first time the US has functioned without a VP.
“Traitors notwithstanding, how does a Harris president get a VP confirmed by a 50/50 Senate?”
“Well in the spirit of bipartisanship...”
