Agreed. We do have to keep in mind though that we have many among us who aren’t going to take the initiative and get off of big tech themselves. This is a big problem that manifests itself in all visible areas of life. It sometimes take a Trump or an Andrew Breitbart to get people to MOVE. I remain more convinced than ever that the only reason conservatives got out by the millions and protested in the 2010 Tea Parties was because of Andrew.

Even to this day, I find from time to time that there are conservatives out there with subscriptions to this or that newspaper and that includes the NY Slimes. I don’t get it.

On the other side, there is a conservative cell phone provider out there (I forget the name at the moment) yet they aren’t a massive and now prominent provider. Why is that? That’s our fault and nobody else’s.

We have our own wikipedia. Is it widely used? Nope.

We could easily be doing damage to big tech. Apple, Microsoft, Twitter, Google, all of them are in easily damageable positions, yet I am not aware of any major movement among conservatives to move off Android to Linux phones. Ditto for iphones, macs, and windows.

It needs to happen and I agree it will happen, but its going to take way more time than it should unfortunately. This is a big and daunting challenge.

Well we also have a lot of conservatives living in blue states & cities which makes no sense to me. States and cities have taxes and fees so conservatives are supporting the leftist machine whether they want to admit it or not.

Simple Wireless? Not available where I live which was a disappointment. I do need to try and get us swapped to someone other than AT&T but they own all the towers around here and AT&T service seems to do best on AT&T towers even though all should work equally. We live in hill country and on a good day, might get one bar at home.

There's more than one but conservapedia is the most widely known I think. Problem is, all the time it takes to add and edit pages and also access to books, some of which cost quite a bit. Time is the big issue. The Left has people like Soros who pays people to post online.

The Linux phones are still in their infancy. Most of them are and have been in Pre-order status for years. Some are UK outfits so I don't know how compatible they are. PureOS phones are nice but pricey. $1200-2000. Loading a phone with Linux or a degoogled Android OS is tricky and you risk bricking the phone. You can get LineageOS phones on ebay but they're older models. Pine64 seemed promising but it's a Hong Kong outfit so it might as well be a China outfit. We need more conservative techies!

Linux on a PC is pretty easy, to me, but a lot of conservatives are total non-techies and installing any operating system is akin to defusing a bomb.

It is happening with the younger generation of conservatives who are more versed in techie things. I've been in a couple of Matrix chat rooms with them. I use Element Desktop client. You can create encrypted chat rooms. I installed an app on my wife's cell phone and created an encrypted chat room so we can communicate without google or facebook listening in.

I'll never be able to get my wife off of facebook. It's sad. The general public uses it daily to chat with each other. Everyone she works with uses it as do the admins. It's basically used as a company wide communications system. People don't call in sick with a phone call. They facebook messenger in sick. It's scary.

https://rightforge.com/wordpress/ I have web hosting with a2hosting and paid $6.99/mth by paying for three years and it's a more robust setup than rightforge's $80/mth plan. RightForge puts limits on monthly visits. 30k, 85K, 100k for $20, $40, $80. That's insane.
