It turns out that siccing the FBI onto Mama Bear and Papa Bear is not a vote winner.
Nor is indoctrinating their children in the fine arts of racial hatred, homosexual pornography, gender neutrality and anti-Americanism.
The right of parents to have a say in what their children are taught in school wasn’t everything driving the red wave that swamped Democrats on Tuesday, but their school board battles exemplified the anti-woke backlash sweeping the country.
And, looming over every ballot, was Joe Biden’s disastrous presidency. Soaring gas prices, inflation, supply-chain shortages, rising crime, out-of-control illegal migration and the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan are just a few of the self-inflicted debacles the president seems stubbornly determined to ignore.
So Tuesday became the “Brandon” election, as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis dubbed it, referring to the new anthem of the disaffected: “Let’s go, Brandon.”
A polite substitute for the “F–k Joe Biden” chant rocking sports stadiums every weekend, the Brandon euphemism came about at a NASCAR race at the Talladega Superspeedway on Oct. 2. The crowd started chanting “F–k Joe Biden!” when winner Brandon Brown was being interviewed and the NBC reporter misheard or tried to conceal the profanity, telling Brown: “You can hear the chants from the crowd. Let’s go, Brandon!”

Trump hater Rich Lowry says it was a bad night for Trump.
They are young, spoiled brats. Not used to being told no. They will not compromise.
Trumps policies won. Bad night? Not so much.
Imagine the echo chamber wokesters/libs live in. We think FR is a conservative echo chamber, but consider how distorted your view of reality is when everything you believe is supported by and validated by every news show, TV show, movie, late night "comedians", The View, The Daily Show, NPR, etc. They have no objective view of reality.
And our so-called education system has pampered and brainwashed them. They will never change now.

That may be true, however I would say that FR differs in two significant ways.
First, liberal articles and sources are frequently posted on FR. You see them every hour. But liberals try to censure the opposition as much as possible. FReepers are not afraid of reading a diverse views.
Second, FReepers present lots of interesting facts, data and historical perspectives to support their arguments. Not all the time, mind you, but at FR you see serious attempts at logic whereas liberals tend to eschew anything that runs counter to their deeply held emotional views.
In general, conservatives and more thoughtful people who are willing to look at evidence and facts. They want to be right for the right reasons. So while FR is dominated by conservative viewpoints its nowhere near the nasty echo chambers that the libs frequent.
Liberals are basically emotion driven creatures. I know, I worked around tons of them for many years. Facts mean nothing to them.
I declared for Trump right here the day he came down the escalator. I had to explain us NY outer borough guys to all the hicks and rednecks who frequent this place (love y'all).
I've backed him consistently from that day to this day.
And Rich Lowry is contemptible.
But it is apparently a fact that Trump got 45% of white females in Virginia in 2020 and the not-nearly-as-good-as-Trump Governor Youngkin got 58% of those ladies in 2021.
The ladies are very impressionable, as we all know, and the Facebook/Apple/The View/Netflix machine will be SCREAMING hate once it becomes clear that he will be the candidate.
So, it's not necessarily wrong that a milquetoast man like Youngkin wouldn't be a stronger candidate in 2024.
That was a mail-in ballot Election. I’m not saying Trump won VA, but I don’t believe he did worse in 2020.
