Fox News tops election night ratings

More people watched Fox News than any other cable news network during coverage of Election Night on Tuesday.

Fox had the largest audience of any of the three major networks in each hour from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. according to early data from Nielsen Media Research, peaking with 5 million viewers during the 10 p.m. hour, including 988,000 in the coveted 25-54 age demographic.

When the Virginia governor's race was called for Republican Glenn Youngkin during the 12 p.m. hour, 2.8 million were tuned into Fox News, compared to 800,000 viewers on MSNBC and 716,000 on CNN.

I was watching Fox last night, and even with Youngkin’s lead with over 90% of the vote in, they explained they couldn’t yet call the race. They said they didn’t know what areas had not yet reported in, and didn’t know how many mail in ballots were yet to be counted, etc.

I have not watched FOX for 1 year today, it had been Newsmax for me all the way!! I do watch Tucker but not on FOX I catch him on anywhere I can find an internet stream of the show I REFUSE to give FOX a click of my remote control!! I don’t know the answer to your question, but with current technology, “they” know how many sets/boxes/etc are tuned to any channel at any time.
