Union Pacific railroad said there was a rash of cargo container break-ins as the containers were being hauled by train near downtown Los Angeles, as officials are trying to clear the backlog of cargo at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
Thousands of boxes as far as the eye could see were strewn along the railroad tracks near Valley Boulevard and North Mission Road in Lincoln Park in footage captured by NewsChopper4 Monday.
Several container doors were wide open - including a FedEx container with boxes tipping over.
The section of the track is bordered by homeless encampments on both sides....
Union Pacific transports goods from the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, where the backup continues....

I’ve always said, if you want to know the USA’s future, look at South America.
They’re all being picked up and sent to VA for the “mail-in” ballots being filled out.
Reminds me of Venezuela....looting trucks as well.
And why no guards on the trains?
Are the railroad police not armed anymore?
Have the railroads decided to allow camping along their rights of way?
Where are the injured and dead trespassers?

Until about 20 or 30 years ago, the Union Pacific bulls were universally feared by hobos. The UP bulls were the meanest toughest hombres in the USA. A hobo would end up in a bloody pulp, in jail or both. No trespassing on UP property and rights of way, and they meant it.
I recently took Amtrak from Reno to the Bay Area with one of my sons and was shocked and saddened by the nearly continuous homeless camps along the tracks. Very disturbing to see what has become of California. Reno is no different, but only slightly less.
45-50 years ago 60 MINUTES had a report on train thefts.. Mike Wallace talked to the black gangs breaking into the cars. Their last haul had been meat, and the biggest prize the stole was GUNS.
It seems the cars used a thin wire cable, easy to break, and a crush lock seal instead of a secure system to keep the looters out.
To put it bluntly, CA is a $hithole.

This is something out of a dystopian movie. Our country is becoming unrecognizable.
And getting worse EVERY DAY!!!!
