An Illinois mayor is standing against the statewide mask mandate issued earlier this year by Gov. J.B. Pritzker, lifting the requirement and making the measure optional in Elk Grove Village, a suburban community in northern Illinois.
“We have to start moving on. We’re as safe as we can be. If you want to wear a mask, wear a mask,” Mayor Craig Johnson announced at a city council meeting, ABC 7 reported. “But it’s time to move on.”
Pritzker, a Democrat, announced the statewide mask mandate in late August as he also ordered every eligible student, among other “high-risk settings,” to get vaccinated against the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, which causes the disease COVID-19.
The governor said at the time the measure applies to everyone in all indoor settings who is over the age of 2, regardless of their vaccination status.
Johnson said he is “following the science” as he confirmed earlier this week that the mask mandate will be lifted, which took effect immediately. The mayor explained that the number of COVID-19 patients in the community has been consistently dropping.
“We are following the science. That’s our key,” WGN9 reported. “And the science has said, according to the governor last spring. Once you drop below 5 percent, he’d open up. Well, today we are at 1.6, 1.7 percent. Why aren’t we opening?” he added as he questioned the governor’s line of logic.
The mayor told ABC 7 that the CCP virus in Elk Grove Village is currently not much of a problem anymore, as a large percentage of people in the community are vaccinated, making masks unnecessary.
Pritzker issued the mask mandate in August citing a resurgence of CCP virus cases, spurred largely by the Delta variant of COVID-19, and increasing reports of “breakthrough” cases in which people already vaccinated against the virus are becoming infected.
The Illinois governor announced in October that his indoor mask mandate will be lifted after CCP virus numbers show a steady decline across the state.
On Oct. 19, Pritzker said during a news conference at the James R. Thompson Center in the Loop that he hopes to lift “certain mask mandates” in time for the winter holidays.
“We want to remove the mitigations as we approach the holidays,” he said, the Chicago Tribune reported. “That’s an important marker for us.”
And besides...COVID is so 2019!
So, the morbidly obese governor Says he wants three days before the holidays come to Julie if cases decline, which they are to the mid to low percent range yet he still Refuses to drop the mandate. Notice this can ever get a clear figure as long as necessary, i.e. below X percent for X number of days it is always a moving target.
I won't REALLY rest easy until January 2025.
These jaspers have the stolen election thing down and I'm not sure we have enough true patriots in the vote counting system to trust it.
Dr. Fauci Admits He’s Been Moving the Goalposts on COVID on Purpose

If a sheep that leads the flock has to jump over a snake, every one that’s following will jump at the place, even after the snake is long gone. The following sheep don’t know why they are jumping, but keep doing it. The fact that the sheep in front do so is sufficient reason. It’s what sheep do.
Elk Grove Village is a big suburb west of Chicago. Good for Mayor Johnson. I’m just up Route 53 in Palatine which has a indoor masking ordinance.
Maybe I’ll send a note to the Palatine Mayor and Trustees informing them my business is going down the road to EGV.

Yeah I’m Trevor! 🤪

🔝🔝🔝
Of course, some of the patrons were wearing them because they are nothing but compliant sheep. But by and large, they are coming off.
I only wear them on the Metro North railroad because the conductors are trained to call the police and make the train stop at the next station if you refuse to wear one. Which is stupid. But I'm sure to bring coffee in the morning and buy a beer for the ride home so I have an excuse to take it down and breath a little from time to time. I literally cannot keep it on for more than a few minutes without having to pull it down and breathe in some fresh air.
The “percent positive”, which they use as a justification for all this garbage, is way down compared to last year’s numbers. Yet the full power of the federal government is forcing people to get jabbed or be kept out of buildings and be fired.
There is no proportional reaction here.
It’s obvious that the masks are considered as “here to stay.” The left doesn’t want to lose the control that they have over us when we put on the visual symbol of subjugation.
We are in DuPage County near Bloomingdale. Not one single business is doing any “enforcement” of Governor Creosote’s stupid mandate.
Not Jewel, not Costco, not Caputo’s, not Wally World. Neither are any of the bars or restaurants we frequent. Our Sheriff and all of the Chiefs of Police have basically told Pritzker to stuff them up his ample backside.
Oh, they have the signs up alright. We just walk right past them.
No one says a word to us.

My daughter is getting married in Elk Grove Village next April. Good news!
It’s a crime that the rona hasn’t claimed this fat F.
