I think Taiwan will get Hong Kong’d; i.e., first a blockade, then a Taiwanese puppet govt., Chinese police force, promises of business as usual, lifestyle as usual, with a 20-year plan down the road to manufacture a crisis, as was done to Hong Kong, in order to cement full CCP stranglehold and draconian punitive measures on Taiwan.
