Same here. If you care about your employees (I hope you do), do not accept their letters at this time other than “When official guidance comes out, I am informing you that I plan to file for a religious/medical exaemption”. Leave it at tha.
You should advise them to do nothing and say nothing until full guidance is released. DoD leadership is going to aggressively deny exemptions and every word they write will be used against them. Keep it short and to the point, not one word that isn’t asked for, and don’t fall for their traps.
Yea I think you are right. Perhaps more military will join.
It’s a bit more complicated. I have personnel who are trying to protect their retirement. So, they are submitting retirement and religious accommodation requests. If they are accommodated, they will pull their retirement papers.

God created man. Man produces CO2 when breathing. When the “scientists” classified CO2 as a pollutant I knew it was a farce.
The models scientists use to study global warming are not complex enough to understand God’s creation. For example they excludes the impact of water vapor levels.

Same thing at the military installation I work at. They had a meeting today and basically, they still have no guidance! But at least this ruling may give us a respite.
At Auburn University in Alabama the religious exemption applications are judged by the EEO/AA bureaucrats. You just know that with the wisdom of Solomon those wise ladies and guys will give the benefit of the doubt to the applicants ... or not.
The mandate is DOA. Biden already blinked. We just need to keep up the pressure. Companies are already having second thoughts. They see that if these rulings go badly for Biden they will be open to large lawsuits for illegal firings. My son applied for a religious exemption last week and it was already approved. He works for a military contractor. It will take a while, but it’s DOA.

Yes. I do know “ a number” of defense contractors here in Socal. Some of them are even my frat univ brothers. They got theirs rather quickly. Told me by connecting the dots, the defense company told them (deep state) to protect their kids aka workers.
I sat thru a 30 minute discussion this week on mandates and exemptions for Feds. I feel dumber for having participated and we left with more whey than we started.

My initial reaction is to not offer even when asked other than to more-or-less say:
I will accept your offer of exception to the Covid Vaccine on the grounds of sincerely held religious belief and in accordance with my sincerely held religious belief my position is that I will not take the Covid-19 vaccine. End of story, stick to it.
Other than that, name, rank and serial number.
Refuse, Resist, Solidarity. Over and over and over again. Don’t let up a second. Stand your ground There is too much to lose to give in.
More likely, watch what happens to the religious exemption request.
