Are we expected to feel sad for the convict?
Reminds me of the scene after the grisly execution of Eduard Delacroix from “The Green Mile”
Paul Edgecombe: “It was an execution… and a successful one.”
Warden: “How can you call THAT ‘successful?’”
Edgecombe: “Well, Eduard Delacroix IS dead…”

“the state of Oklahoma botched its third consecutive execution”
Well then, they need to do more of these to tighten up the process. Practice makes perfect!

There have to be witnessess to an execution. What living person that has to be there in the first place wants to remember something like that for the rest of their life... unless they really need to gain a conscience? I wouldn’t, but then I’m retired from nursing. I’ve seen lots of things I’ll never talk about... or will I? Reminds me of an old Knock-Knock joke: Wood Eye! Would I! Regardless, people shouldn’t be used as political pawns.

The “eye for an eye” is actually a statement of Grace. (As opposed to executing someone for robbery.)
This guy no doubt died more peacefully than his victim. And lived for another 23 years as well.
The woman was the head of the kitchen staff. She was 58 when she was murdered. The killer lived until 60.
She would have been about 81 years old now. She may have never seen her grandchildren. May have even missed seeing her children get married.

Did Gay Carter convulse and vomit as he was stabbing her to death?

The guillotine method is actually quite ‘humane’ albeit bloody. Fast and limited if any pain at all.

Why don’t they hire a Vet-Tech. I.V. In vein, propofol puts them out then potassium stops the heart. If you want to be fancy add a muscle relaxant. Protocol is two I.V.s verified to be in the vein.

After a five-year moratorium, the state of Oklahoma botched its third consecutive execution on Thursday when convict John Marion Grant died after convulsing and vomiting all over himself following a lethal injection, according to witnesses. All I wanted to know is, did he die?
Since he died, the the execution was a success and his minor suffering and vomiting is fine with me {and the victim's family}.
When I read the word "botched" I immediately thought that the perp lived, but then saw he died, so I was OK.
Botched?
Really?
