NEW YORK -- Los Angeles Rams owner Stan Kroenke might be trying to back away from his promise to cover tens of millions of dollars in legal expenses related to his team's 2016 departure from St. Louis, a revelation that angered many NFL owners when they learned of it Tuesday, sources told ESPN

Now Stan who said he would indemnify all the NFL owners regarding his move to Los Angeles from any legal lawsuits regarding the move decided to renege on his offer of indemnification.
The suit goes to trial early January 2022 and hopefully the st. Louis sports commission and the owners of the Dome in St. Louis will be the victors in this lawsuit.
If your angering NFL owners you’re probably doing the right thing! Funny how when the Rams went back home to LA their uniforms returned to normal!
Just more Felons doing what they do.
I met George Allen, (he was head coach at CSULB) years later when I hired him to be a guest speaker for a company event. Great guy.
Oh whine st Louis, you stole the rams in the first place, rams left cal in the middle of the night
The NFL is basically a partnership. Each owner owns 1/32nd of the league. I believe if an owner oversteps his bounds the rest of the owners can basically force him to sell. I don’t know that they’d do that, but they can probably penalize the team in other ways to get that money back. Reduced share on NFL branded merchandise, for example.
St. Louis did not have a good plan for the stadium. The Rams were there for 20 years, providing some great teams, and the fan base wasn’t really there. St Louis is a baseball town. I went to a game the year after the Rams were in the Super Bowl, and it seemed like there were more fans for the visiting Cowboys there. When St. Louis did do a modest redecorating of the stadium, the seats were Chiefs red!
“rest of the owners can basically force him to sell”
Except for Green Bay. They can not force the Packers to sell. They would have to force them to shut the team down and eliminate the franchise totally.
In short, they would have to start another “New” team someplace else.
The Rams were in Cleveland until after WWII.
St. Louis basically agreed that the stadium they built.’The TransWold Dome, the Edward Jones Dome’, would be kept up a certain standard, which the city could not honor. The city tried to get the whole state to fund either a new stadium or bring the Dome up to NFL standards, important things like luxury suites, etc. This gave Kroneke a way to leave town and return to L.A.
For those who don’t know STL, the Dome is right on the edge of pretty ‘sketchy’ territory.. Ferguson didn’t help. And as some have said StL is a baseball town.
I think Georgia Frontiere was responsible for that...She did pass away...
CSULB had a football team...That was a long time ago...
Fred Dryer played for Rams...He did play Sergeant Rick Hunter on HUNTER...Back in 1980s...
Sofi Stadium is in Inglewood, California...It is a nice stadium for Rams and Chargers...There is an artificial lake near the parking lots...Inglewood is not some rich city...It could be described as a "ghetto"...Hispanics are the largest ethnic group in the city, followed by blacks...
And none too soon.
Horrible person.
One thing he said that always stuck with me was this: "I can look any recruit in the eye and tell him: You play for me and I will get you a try out on a NFL team if you don't get drafted.
He was a guy that could back that up. This was in the early '90's if memory serves
They used to call it Inglewatts, but with property values in the area soaring they probably will start calling it Inglewood Hills.
So did he die from a combination of Gatorade and exposure to the cold as rumor has it?
Vast majority of St Loius is sketchy. Drive thru it several times a year, I dont stop.
Vast majority of St Loius is sketchy
did not know that fact
