I have taught classes for legal immigrants who are preparing for their citizenship interviews. They spend a lot of time and money to do it the right way. They have jobs. They undergo a background check. They have to have a certain level of proficiency in English. They must feel like suckers too. All they needed to do was sneak in and set foot on American soil and make one step to the red carpet.

Then, they are granted certain perks when they get here. Food, shelter, health care, education, legal assistance - all on the dime of the United States taxpayer. They are issued an appearance ticket, which they promptly disregard.
Now on top of this, the United States taxpayer is going to compensate them further because they were separated from their families by the mean old United States of America. Surely, I am missing something. This cannot be what they are proposing. No one is THAT stupid.
How much do WE get for my family coming into the US LEGALLY after spending thousands of dollars????

I beg to differ. The land that was America is chock-full of people that stupid, that devious, that destructive. Chock-full, in the hundred+ millions. And in that number is almost every single person in a leadership position at the state, local and federal level…and almost every single public employee at each of those levels.
It’s why this nation has gone the way of Rome circa 400 AD.
Well, naturally, I was being sardonic. Clearly, if 80 million (or was it billion?) people voted for Joe Biden, stupidity is not in short supply.
