Sounds like you had a great handle on being a Dad. If you really think about it, Dad’s are to treat their children the way our Heavenly Father treats us, with deep unconditional love, protection, support, guidance, and even discipline when it is called for.
My niece made a comment on FB thusly: some of you have never heard your dad’s belt slide out of six loops in 2.6 seconds and it shows.
LOL!
We rarely got “spanked” ... the few times we did guaranteed we didn’t want it to happen again!
