Westwood One radio host Dan Bongino is off the air this week after blasting the parent company for its vaccine mandate.
Cumulus Media, which owns the radio network, told employees that they were required to be vaccinated by the end of September so that they could return to the office Oct. 11.
The Dan Bongino Show will be broadcasting "best of" shows for the rest of the week, Radio Ink reported Wednesday.
"Friends, Dan is in a tough battle with his radio show syndicator over these immoral, unscientific vaccine mandates," Bongino Report tweeted late Tuesday afternoon.
"We don't know what's coming next. But, regardless of the outcome, you can ALWAYS find his podcast here. He's not going anywhere."
Bongino, who was vaccinated and is receiving treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma, announced his opposition to the company's vaccine mandate on his show last week, The Hill reported.
The former NYPD officer and Secret Service agent addressed the situation during his Tuesday podcast hosted on his show’s website.
"They didn't consult with us, their content providers or anything like that — they just did it," he said. "People were subsequently let go.
"I strongly object, in the strongest possible terms, to this vaccine mandate. The fight with them, candidly folks, is having a real effect. ... Behind the scenes it's getting a little ugly here. I wasn’t on the radio [Monday or Tuesday]. I don’t know what they did, played the 'best of' or whatever. You don’t treat people this way. You don’t let people go because they insist their body is theirs."
Bongino said he received an e-mail from a former Cumulus employee who was fired because of the company’s vaccine requirement.

cumulus sucks, they all do but if you dont have yer own transmitters that could be a problem
It’s because of these stupid mandates that I kinda wish I could become UNVACCINATED.
Bongino is a stand-up man.
He has plenty of reason to personally refuse the vaccine based upon his health condition.
But he seems to be standing up for others, and for principle, here.
He got a vaccine— recommended for his lower immunity due to cancer last year. He’s even more badass.
you need no reason, tell them to go to hell
He took an aborted baby shot. I lost a lot of respect for him. Hes always saying how he is a Christian. A Christian would have nothing to do with these shots
got an STD once, I dont care
I’m not sure how diplomatic or productive that would be if you’re actually working a job that you rely upon, and are told that you MUST take the vaccine.
(Unless you’re in a comfortable position where you can just quit your job and still take care of yourself and your family.)
Here is a great video given by an ethics professor in Canada. Presented via video to her Ethics 101 students.
And I suppose you presume to speak for all Christians?
I have no idea what that means; but, carry on.
my buddy just quit over CRT indoctrination, turned on his pensions an bought 2 planes, works 2 days a week and makes more money.
no percentage in being a slave, but you have to pick your battles
It is not an aborted baby shot.
there may have been some testing done using these, but the real problem is the current testing and mandates.
there are lots of reasons to be resistant to forced medication, especially ones which are certainly tainted by things worse
I will not submit, good to know there us resistance in the dominion.
forced is a problem for me
And I am off KSFO until cumulus gets over themselves....
Yes, you have to pick your battles.
And a lot of people don’t have pensions like your buddy’s.
What would you do if you had a wife and kids, and a job making enough money to sustain the family, perhaps only marginally?
Sure, you could learn another trade or look for an employer who didn’t care about the vaccine; but how long would that take, and what might happen in the meantime?
A lot of people are in a hard place right now, and it’s not at all as easy as simply refusing and telling the-powers-that-be to ‘go to hell’.
