DENVER (AP) — The United States has issued its first passport with an “X” gender designation — a milestone in the recognition of the rights of people who don’t identify as male or female — and expects to be able to offer the option more broadly next year, the State Department said Wednesday.

And, by the laws of those countries, having an ‘X’ might very well be considered a confession of guilt.

I wonder about this also. Aren’t there international standards for passport information, which among other things, requires the sex of the individual be listed on the passport?

And isn’t it possible that other countries, who aren’t so liberal about all of this “non binary” ideology, would reject a passport which excludes the sex of the person?
