Price per pound of propane has gone up significantly in the last 6 months. Thankfully we live in Florida, but we won’t be using the spa heater or the house heater this winter if we can avoid it. Thank God I built a woodshed last year.

This is why I am glad I have an EcoBee thermostat. I can adjust it for home and away operations to cut down natural gas usage from the heating furnace when I’m not home.

Natural Gas futures were as much as 2-3X higher in the 2000s.
