Strike the “or not” — The non-Christian, and so many Christian heretics and mortal-sin-infected, wrongly think the (supposed, intended) end justifies the means.
That is Utilitarianism, and it is thoroughly immoral, and obscene, even from a Natural Law perspective; a moral unbeliever won’t go there.
