For CNN, there's only one perspective on big government: bigger is better!
On New Day, the hosts and panelists could only see the positives of a $1.7 trillion spending bill, and could only hope for more.
The liberal media can't conceive that some Americans actually still believe in individual liberty and self-reliance, and reject cradle-to-grave government "help" [read, intrusion] into our lives.

If these people had their way, government would “give” us and control after aspect of our lives.
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
Heaven help us.
Why post anything from CNN? This isn’t a Rat Socialist board.
I get the sentiment, but at NewsBusters we believe in exposing liberal bias. I’ve been posting about it for decades, and many people have shown interest.
Did Manchin and Sinema fold, or did the usual RINOs make the whole matter moot with a bit of back-stabbing?
Manchin has reportedly agreed to about $1.7 trillion, and a “wealth tax.”
Over 3 more years with Biden. If Republicans lose the midterms - and they probably will because nothing is being done about election integrity - hell on earth will exist in the USA. And all these people who have Biden bumper stickers on their car? They may want to consider removing them because there’s going to be one hell of a lot of pissed off people.
FDR’s “New Deal” was a colossal failure and drove us further into a depression. So in a sense, this spending bill would be the Democrats’ current-day “New Deal.”
Oh look, communists raving about communism! Meanwhile the left attacks all that is decent and good about America. But Florida isn’t the only place looking to be a safe haven for those who Democrats are taking a dump on. I saw an article another welcome mat for cops, “Alaska Now Welcomes Police Officers Who Defy Vaccine Mandates: ‘We Back The Blue’”, and you can give that a look at DailyWire. The people losing those officers will regret it eventually, likely sooner rather than later. I ignored Obama for 8 years and survived him, I think I can ignore O’Biden until the dementia takes him.
I only took the fiat currency stimulus because everyone else was going to and it was going to instantly devalue all money I already had, so not taking it would have been stupid. I used it to 2A up.
If those two (or even just one of them) were really smart they’d switch to Independent while caucusing with Republicans and demand a king’s ransom for throwing Senate power to the R’s. If either does I predict it will be Sinema.
The thing is, Mark, Manchin is a long-time victim of the last person he talks to, so whoever got to Manchin, can be ungotten by the next caller.
The most obvious way would be to gaslight, er, belittle the Squat, right now, tonight, into believing that THEY sold out, as the hold-outs on the infrastructure bill to protect their free-for-all $3.5T.
"Hi, Madam Representative Sandy? This is L.N. Smithee from the Columbia Times. We have heard that The Squad has caved into Sen. Machin's demands, that the Senator has gloated out loud to the New York Times how badly he played you and Rep. Tflab and Rep. Omfart. It is rumored that Manchin will be side-by-side with Resident Xiden tomorrow morning to rub the salt in your eyes as they announce selling you out. Do you have any comment?"
BTW, if any of this is true, it destroys Fast Terry in Virginia’s goobernortorial race...
Hopeless. What’s needed is a respected Republican to run against him in WV, but that’ll take ‘til 2024.
I can understand why Sinema’s hanging tough. Mess with a woman when she needs privacy, and all hell breaks loose.
Wealth tax? You’ve got to be kidding...Repukes are actually going to sign onto that nonsense. Worst idea in the primaries, couldn’t get 10% of the vote and suddenly this is national policy?
“And all these people who have Biden bumper stickers on their car? They may want to consider removing them because there’s going to be one hell of a lot of pissed off people.”
And every last one of them has a few keys in their pockets.
But right when deprivation was becoming the new normal, there was one helacious big war (just trying to cheer people up;-)
“FDR’s “New Deal” was a colossal failure and drove us further into a depression.”
GMTA. From the article: “Let’s remember that FDR’s New Deal did nothing to end the Depression. It set our country on the path to soft socialism.”
