Now we have elected officials at the highest-level threatening people who wonât get vaccinated not only with the loss of their job, but barring them from our much-vaunted social safety net.
Spiteful and divisive policies aren't likely to increase vaccination rates.

Hopefully those spiteful and divisive policies are likely to increase the number of politicians hanging by their necks from tall tree branches.
I prefer lampposts myself.
It may come to that. Number one rule of battle is to always allow your enemy an escape route. When people have nothing to lose, they become ferocious.

Imagine if we barred women who have had abortions from child support and welfare.
Imagine if we barred cancer patients who smoked government benefits and social security and disability.
Imagine if we barred obese people from government health benefits and disability and special parking spaces because they keep packing on the unhealthy pounds.
Imagine if we banned communists from running for public office.
