The largest power generating company in India, NTPC Ltd, is looking for bids to import at least one million tons of coal for the first time in two years,

...

NTPC aims to use the imported coal at power plants that are located far from India’s coal mines, as the energy crisis has depleted coal stocks in the country.

The first tender in two years for overseas coal supply highlights the shortage of the fuel in India, where coal is the major power generating fuel, accounting for 70 percent of total electricity generation.

Currently, more than 91 percent of the coal which top coal producer Coal India is mining is being sent to thermal power plants, as the country looks to avert a major power crisis

...

Coal inventories at many of the 135 coal-fired power plants are at critically low levels, while India scrambles to get more coal supply amid a global crunch of energy supply and skyrocketing prices of coal and natural gas.

If they make the offer sweet enough, they’ll get Manchin to vote for the GND bill.

This winter Germany is going to look like “genuses” for decommissioning their last three nuclear power plants in a Darwinian virtue signaling move.

And this is why Trump wanted out of all that climate nonsense. It’s one thing to say let’s do something cleaner, but when that something else doesnt yet exist or is not reasonably practical, we are committing darwinism.

The climate nonsense is a Democrat boondoggle. Globalism that enriches a select few, including the Chinese Communists, at the expense of societies at large. No self-respecting government will follow that nonsense.

Oil prices are nearing a high, and likely to go higher, because this idiot president on his first day turned the USA from a competitor to OPEC into a dependent of OPEC. He gave OPEC zero incentive to increase production. Thus, higher costs.

And yes I agree. Green energy, fine, if it works and if it is equitably distributed. Stick some wind farms on Nantucket and the Hamptons.

Hopefully, since Chinese Communists, in a hissy fit consistent with what we’ve seen from Commies world wide for decades, stopped Australian Coal ships from unloading their coal even though China had ordered it, Australia will contract to sell all it’s coal to India and F China in the Yeng Yang.

We are now seeing the Unintended Consequences of the globalist climate movement.

Or maybe not. The whole meme was started by the neo-Malthusian Club of Rome, and turned into a movement by the Friedrich Engels of Global Worming, Maurice Strong. The objective all along has been to reduce the global population by starving it of the technology that makes modern life possible.

The nations of the world cannot and will not abandon coal, gas and oil. The economy of the world turns on coal, gas and oil whether they are capitalist or communist or something in between.
