This is beyond the usual Manchin angling for the biggest payout. Manchin must want to keep his seat and realize the winds are not blowing in the Dems favor. The Dems have become so brazenly communist that they may have pushed Manchin’s chances beyond the margin of cheat.

He’s not up for another 3 years, and it’s highly unlikely he’ll be reelected regardless if he switches parties.

Manchin represents a state that Biden lost by almost 40 points. Biden has absolutely zero leverage over him.

There is no over-the-top margin for cheating. The outrageous cheating to put Biden over the top is unfathomable, impossible to accept, and a mortal wound to our Republic. Thus, since the democrats got away with that, there is no level of cheating that is unacceptable.

Nope, just re-elected, he has 5 more years. But if he ever wants to step foot back in West Virginia (debatable) he needs to dial it back.

Agreed. I’m often critical of Manchin, but as an Independent he can opportunistically caucus with either party, and that may be necessary to keep his seat.

No doubt WV is giving him a hard time right now.
