“A fine example of the Peter principle.”

Pun intended.

I’m sure someone will correct me if I am mistaken, but supply chain problems will exisit as long as the Fed continues to tax inventory. This MBA driven just in time inventory stuff doesn’t cut it in the real world.

Not that Republican’s are much better, but is it possible for a Democrat to do something other than put the blame at something or someone else, rather than just do their job?

This clown is the person that is supposed to come up with solutions. He’s the best person for the job, right? No one can do it better than he can, right?

WOW!!!

I hope that the 30-40 million that actually voted for CornPop are A-OK with their decision. No mean tweets.

Buttigieg: Supply Chain Issues Will Persist as Long as There’s a Pandemic

Meaning that, the pandemic is a great friend of the Biden administration and of democrats.

Headline could easily be modified to say?

Supply Chain Issues Will Persist as Long as There’s a Biden Administration

The Pandemic didn't cause this...not one little bit. The trucking rules in Ca caused a lot of it...

AND the GOVERMENT mandating vaccinations for big businesses is destroying companies and government departments. (They annihilated little businesses with the lockdowns).

Unbelievable how much Biden has destroyed in 9 months.

The supply chain problem is a perfect storm of events, many of which are preventable or fixable now. Among those that are in our control are the regulations governing the ports, their personnel, their automation and the list goes on. As for the ridiculous supply chains where some products have components or processes involving up to fifty countries, those too are fixable. A lot of this *cough* diversity of origin or process providing countries are driven by taxes. As far back as the Clinton administration companies were driven to expand their supply lines to include tiny islands who had only one factory and could handle only one ship at a time. A product I studied for my MBA was t-shirts, which 14 jet trips.

From a friend, in a letter to his Congresspeople:

I propose a three-part bill be enacted by Congress to relieve the container traffic jam in California, the first part being a short-term solution and the second and third parts a longer-term solution.

(1) The first part would override, for six months, California's restrictions on older semi tractors and on independent truck operators. Increasing labor is not going to clear the jam-up; increasing transport vehicles will. Allowing the currently-banned trucks and drivers (particularly owner-drivers) to transport containers out of California would reduce the pressure on modern trucks and permitted drivers to make intrastate deliveries of containers.

(2) Congress, in cooperation with California, needs to provide money to increase rail capacity at the California ports. Moving containers by rail would be far more environment-friendly, and reduce the need for long-haul road transport

(3) Provide funds and direction to the Department of Transportation to determine what additional facilities in other States need to be built to handle increased rail traffic of containers.

-30-

Is this a lost cause? Maybe, given the power that California likes to impose on interstate commerce. If you think this is a germ of a good idea, feel free to pass it one to your Federal Congressional representatives.

At least it's a solution that directly addresses the source of the backup in the supply chain. Unlike Biden's “make ‘em work 24/7” suggestion.

This Supply Chain isssue has Nothing to do with the”Pandemic”.it has EVERYTHING to do with the bad policies of a communist run administration.

Everything their doing is being done by design to harm the American People. Wrecking the economy, raising the price of fuels, importing hundreds of thousands of parasites who have little to no education and are going to cost taxpayers Billions of dollars to support.

Strange...I seem to recall Trump being in office during the pandemic and nothing of the sort happened then. Wonder what changed?

Your post was interesting, but the final “sentence,” alas, was both intriguing and worthy of your screen name.

Could you please elaborate?

>>Buttigieg: Supply Chain Issues Will Persist as Long as There’s a Pandemic<<

Something is very evil about these people. They lie with impunity.

John8:44
You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
