The CEO of United Airlines has warned flight prices are about to spike as the busy holiday travel season looms — and surging jet fuel prices are to blame.
Jet fuel prices are climbing to levels not seen before COVID-19 hit and those costs would likely have to be passed along to passengers, United’s Scott Kirby told CNBC on Wednesday.
“Higher jet fuel prices lead to higher ticket prices,” Kirby said. “Ultimately, we’ll pass that through.”

Call me what you will, but I believe everything (pandemic, rising energy and fuel costs, shipping delays and empty store shelves has been orchestrated from the beginning. We are being manipulated and corralled into the New World Order.
Same here. Haven’t been on a major airline commercial flight in two years. I’ll just drive, thanks very much.

Fly from Burbank to Dallas, trip to airport, waiting, security, ...about 8 hours, get off, rent a car then drive 2 1/2 hours to Daughters house. Total 10-12 hours and about $1000 one way for 2.
Jump in my 172 from Burbank and fly direct to Longview, TX, 10 hours plus stops for gas, land 1 mile from Daughters House, Total 10-12 hours and about $500.
Everything leftist put their hands to they screw up. Perhaps it’s on purpose.
That said, where the hell are republicans? I see VERY little push back.
