Republican Mike Carey holds an 11-point lead over state Rep. Allison Russo (D) in a poll of the race to replace former Ohio Rep. Steve Stivers (R), who resigned in May after holding the seat for a decade.

The Tuesday survey from Emerson College-NBC4 shows Carey has 50 percent support among voters, while Russo receives 38.9 percent.

Eleven percent of voters are still undecided two weeks before the vote, but among those, 59.3 percent say they are leaning toward Carey, with only 40.7 percent leaning toward Russo.

Might beat the margin of fraud, if we are lucky.

Yeah, but since the democrat can print, fill out, and submit all the votes he’ll need to win, and nothing will be done about it, the Republican is sure to lose.

Gee, where would I get that kind of thinking?

Does this district swing back and forth between D and R, or does it usually go Republican?

Steve Stivers a Republican held it for a decade prior. What’s on Ballotpedia shows it’s mostly been Republican prior to that too...a Democrat won in 2008. The 2017 Cook Partisan Voter Index for this district was R+7.

I don’t understand the Cook rating. I looked up recent results. Stivers won by almost 27% in 2020. The closest race since 2012 was a 13% victory by the Republican - which was in 2012 when Obama carried Ohio. A 10% lead in this environment is not good at all. I’m not sure how accurate Emerson is.

“Some good news.”

Indeed. Our resident neo-Nazi Soros trolls and brainwashed defeatist traitors will avoid your post like vampires seeing the crucifix.
