Chris and Roberta Laundrie, the parents of fugitive Brian Laundrie, ventured into Florida’s Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park early Wednesday morning, where Fox News Digital saw an officer apparently tell parents that law enforcement "might have found something."
Steven Bertolino, who represents the Laundrie family, would not comment when asked by Fox News Digital if the Laundries were at the park at the request of law enforcement. Brian Laundrie has been named a person of interest in the disappearance and subsequent homicide of his fiancee, Gabby Petito. The FBI later issued a warrant for his arrest on charges related to his unauthorized used of her bank card.
The Laundries, who have claimed their son went to Myakkahatchee on Sept. 13, the day he was last seen, left their North Port home just before 7:15 a.m. local time for the environmental park, where two men in hiking gear – including at least one who later identified himself as a law enforcement officer – began trailing behind them. The Laundries and one of the men appeared to discuss a discovery before the parents left the park, which was then closed to media and the public.
In a worldwide exclusive, video obtained by Fox News Digital shows the Laundries and the law enforcement officer huddling and speaking as the officer appears to show the couple an unknown discovery. The officer appeared to tell the parents: "I think we might have found something."

On Fox News, I forgot which anchor said it but she was talking to the medical examiner and she said something like “Well there are other people missing in the area so how will they determine if its Brian?”
This story says law enforcement found something.
Crud.
So, we get different news sources saying different things that TOTALLY change the drift of the narrative.
WHO FOUND THE -— WHATEVER IT IS?
Parents? Law officers?
It makes a difference, and da Hell we can’t get good reporting anymore? There’s more holes in this reportage than Carter’s has liver pills! Morons creating more questions than they’re answering.
It was pretty obvious from both their interactions with police they both had issues.....domestic violence people are rarely truthful....rather protective of their destructive relationships until one or the other says enough. ..and they don’t end well.
Tuesday night, Laundrie parents' lawyer Bertolino contacts LE. Tells them Chris & Roberta Laundrie are going to the reserve Wed. morning. Meet them there, Bertolino says.
0700 Wednesday: Chris & Roberta meet two LEO at the Myakkahatchee entrance and proceed down a hiking trail, with Mama Roberta (wearing a face mask) remaining on the path. Papa Chris on left side, LEO on right.
30 minutes into hike, Chris miraculously finds a dry bag containing personal items belonging to Brian about 20 feet off the path on left in a thicket. Area has been searched by multiple LE entities, search and cadaver dogs multiple times over the past month.
Around the same time, LE find a backpack, a notepad/notebook and partial remains off to the right of the path. Area has been searched by multiple LE entities, search and cadaver dogs multiple times over the past month.
Chris & Roberta Laundrie are told to leave the park shortly after remains are found.
“...Chris miraculously finds a dry bag containing personal items belonging to Brian...” “...LE find a backpack, a notepad/notebook and partial remains off to the right of the path.”
So you think it’s a setup, too? This morning watching the news I told DH I wonder whose remains were planted nearby by the parents.
Less likely possibility is that the Laundries planted the remains and items in the garden, followed by planting in the reserve. They have reportedly had 24/7 surveillance by media and possibly by LE for the past month.
I’ve heard speculation that BL had a burner phone and was in contact with Bertolino who relayed info to the parents. That would protect both parents and client confidentiality protects Bertolino. The speculation is BL stopped communicating and the lawyer knew his approximate whereabouts.
The trip to AT&T, bank and FedEx are interesting. I'm guessing the latter two were to pay Bertolino.
The trip to AT&T could be to ping the phone for a location. You’re probably right about the bank and FedEx.
Would the feds have been able to obtain warrant for AT&T location info before now?
Ok, phone owner Roberta versus fugitive son would stifle warrant. Makes sense.
Bottom line, Brian and Gabby were an accident waiting to happen. One dysfunctional entity in a relationship is bad enough, but two together ... not pretty.
This whole story is just not making sense. I try to play devil’s advocate in my mind so I can stay objective but man, this is crazy.
True, that! Can't make this stuff up.
“True, that! Can’t make this stuff up.”
Some sure try, thats fer sure.
So, the area was under water or it wasn't. The remains were under water but the bag wasn't? This is one messed up story. Someone got their wires crossed for sure.
Unclear what was under water, or for how long. The bag was a “dry bag” which is water-proof. Very popular item with campers and recreational boaters. Unclear whether the backpack was water-resistant.
Ahhh, I didn’t understand the term ‘dry bag’. Thanks.
Thanks for clearing tat up.
I thought it was referring to the Hags camped in front of the Laundrie home for weeks disturbing the peace.
