3.5 Trillion was never going to happen. It was a high number that the Dems agreed upon knowing Manchin and Sinema needed cover and if they voted on 1.5 Trillion then the moderates get cover by saying they cut 2 trillion and the progressives will be able to say we got 1.5 trillion of green money to spend on socialistic social programs.
This was the strategy from the start. The only people who look stupid is the Americans who believe this is a great compromise, it isn't, it's all unneccessary. We got hosed, or will when they announce their "compromise and pass it with 50 votes.

When crunch time comes they'll both find a horse's head in their bed. This will pass...all $3.5 trillion...with amnesty for 30 million wetbacks,a carbon tax, nationwide mail in balloting....

So go for 1T and then just keep voting on another .5T or 1.5T or 2T after that.

Don’t hold your breath. He will cave one way or the other. Now senator Sinema is pissed off at the way her own party has been dogging her so she might be the lone wolf to stand firm and flip them off like McCain did to us. I can only dream.
