Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan Moves to Refund Police: Defunding Is ‘Far-Left Lunacy’

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, a Republican, rolled out an initiative last week to increase spending on police and support for crime victims.

“Our $150 million refund the police initiative will provide a desperately needed shot in the arm to our state and local police agencies,” Hogan said at a press conference at the state house in Annapolis. “But there is far more work to be done.”

So what’s going on in Baltimore is near-left lunacy, or is Larry shielded from that in faraway Annapolis?

For my part, I cannot see the difference between “far left” and the here-implied “near left”. When leftists want to fund police departments, that means they intend to continue to influence said departments away from protecting law-abiding citizens towards becoming personal political-control forces for the same leftists in power.
