If this is the PRC plan, it’s a pretty bad one. They need air and naval superiority in the Taiwan straight to even think about an amphibious invasion.

If Taiwan is not supported by the US and allies that is the case. The PLA could easily cut off oil and food imports to Taiwan.
But you know who else has a very vulnerable supply chain: China. The USN could just as easily cut-off China’s oil imports. Then it’s a waiting game to see which country collapses first.
