As Democrats continue to feud internally over the content and price tag of President Biden's proposed $3.5 trillion reconciliation package, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) said on Sunday he hopes the disagreements eventually result in the legislation's defeat.
"I hope for Democrat gridlock," Johnson said on Fox News’s "Sunday Morning Futures." "Oftentimes, in Washington, D.C., gridlock is the better alternative, but when it's Democrat gridlock, pray for it. I hope that's exactly what happens."

Would have been better if his colleagues had not voted to enable it by voting for the Trojan horse bill
Dan Sullivan (R-AK) Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) Mike Crapo (R-ID) Roy Blunt (R-MO) Richard Burr (R-NC) Deb Fischer (R-NE) Lindsey Graham (R-SC) Rob Portman (R-OH) Thom Tillis (R-NC) Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) Jim Risch (R-ID) Chuck Grassley (R-IA) Bill Cassidy (R-LA) Kevin Cramer (R-ND) Roger Wicker (R-MS) Mitch McConnell (R-KY) John Hoeven (R-ND) Susan Collins (R-ME) Mitt Romney (R-UT)
Washington, D.C.’s definition of Hope is that dumb Obama poster.
But, but, what about all of the life changing pieces of the legislation?
Just today, Pete Buttgig(sp?) said if we pass the monstrous $3.5 trillion “infrastructure” bill, that this would solve the problem of bottlenecks at seaports, and supply chain problems.
I wonder if Democrats become like parrots sometimes, in which they would say, no matter the issue coming up, that to solve that particular problem, we need to pass gargantuan spending bills.
Sorry to disappoint, but I am not a Democrat...
How about those conservative Idaho Senators? Aren’t they just great?
They truly represent the desire of the people who elected them don’t they? Well, the rich donors anyway.
There are only a handful of GOP Senators that are not Assistant Democrats.
He’s lying through his teeth (of course!) because one of the big bottle neck reasons is the stupid federal limits on a driver’s time and electronic logging that started taking effect in the past year. Thanks loads DOT.
Hope is not a plan A, B, or C.....
Manchin knows he keeps the seat if he gets these bills under a combined $3T - the $1.2T for Infrawaste and then $1.8T for Socialism.
Pat Morrisey's dark PACs should be beating Manchin over the head right freaking now in WVa. Set that boy down in the wet concrete and make it stick to 2024.
"The Manchinian Candidate", damn you could have a field day with that theme...
Manchin also knows the “Hyde amendment” must also be included in this budget bill. I have a hard time believing that 218 Democrat members of the House of Representatives will accept the Hyde Amendment. People like AOC sees this as the opportunity to eliminate the Hyde amendment.
Here's the thing I've noticed -- Xiden's puppet-state Cabinet reminds me so, so much of Clinton's Cabinet when he diddled Lewskanky -- they all marched out dutifully to the cameras and denied Bubba had lied or done anything wrong.
Here is a list of, not all of Bubba's Cabinet from that moment, but a list of all the Potemkin Jugheads who had dreamt of higher office (than Sec'y of Waste) and were done in by backing Bubba, after Bill had repeatedly suborned perjury, which is frankly a hell of a crime:
Keep this list in mind when the body politic rises up in 2024 and deposes this puppet-state installation, and Xiden's mandarins -- mouth-gaped, drooling communists like Mayorkas and Shamalama Young and Butt and Becerra -- find out what enabling Yuri Bidenprov and the White Hospice was really worth.
“Sen. Ron Johnson hoping for Democratic ‘gridlock’ on reconciliation package”
Aren’t we all.
