There’s no way ignoring the gang problem in Haiti anymore. The armed bandits, who since 2004 have sprouted under the watch of United Nations peace missions, now control most activities in the country. So, finally, there’s great concern by members of the international community about what’s happening in the Caribbean-island nation. ---SNIP--- The U.S. is committed to strengthening the Haitian National Police’s institutional capacity, including basic training, defending human rights, and countering impunity.”

How much money has the US given to Haiti? The Clintons and Bidens could not have stolen all of it, could they?

"The more than 100 gangs throughout the country dispose of more firepower than the police. They even kidnap and kill policemen. They invade churches, kidnapping preachers at the pulpit and gunning down anyone who opposes them."

Eventually, the problem will solve itself. Rather than 100 in a few years it will be down to 25 or less

Don't see why not. Those people are good at what they do.

They got all of it worth stealing. What little they left is not worth going after. You can make book on that. The Clintons and Bidens are the two biggest thieves in the history of the World.

I asked a good friend, who knows WAY more about Haiti than me (that's a low bar, btw...) why the Bidet Admin deported the Haitian illegals with great dispatch, while other illegals gain entry with impunity.

Basically he said the black Haitians defeated the white French, while other illegals have a preference for the welfare state. Thus, by their actions, this Administration does NOT want blacks in this country who want liberty but want others who seek dependence.

Hmmmmm....

Haiti has 1100 mils of coastline. If they could get past the political upheaval they could have a lucrative tourist industry. They also have a history of producing exotic hardwoods, and if they reforested with this in mind that would be another source of income. Just like Venezuela, the politics prevents prosperity.

To quote a comment made by an African in Mali while we were discussing the current state of affairs there, “What this country needs is re-colonization!”

This especially applies to Haiti... but not by France this time.

Perhaps the Gurkha’s?

ROK Marines?

The “gang problem” started in 1804, and it has survived innumerable changes of regime, government by the US Marine Corps from 1915-1934, the League of Nations, the United Nations, and many, many NGOs and churches. It is the natural form of government of that sad republic.

What this article refers to as the “gang problem” is also the principal form of government in West Africa, whence most Haitians are descended.

It is never going to change.

If a state whose major founding premise is killing all the whites could be described as having a bright future as a tourist destination, well...

They didn’t have to steal it, they were in charge of it.

Anyway one is about as likely to “save” Haiti as they are
Afghanistan.

The IQ level of the country will not allow that. It’s like teaching a pig to read. You will accomplish nothing and will only annoy the pig.

Haiti is worthless and always will be. Better to patrol the coast and keep them from reaching America.

No one. “enlightened” countries have sent billions to this failure, thus enabling it to continue failing.

Volunteers go to the country to help, but it only gets worse. What’s wrong?
