I think that would be the first time in history they have made someone repay them for training. Remember that freak that flashed his communist stuff at the academy? They kicked him out without requiring him to repay them. I doubt this would hold-up in court, and I bet it is an empty threat. This admin likes to do that kind of thing.

Depends on the contract and if they want to enforce. Many of them include a clause that if you don't complete your minimum commission time, you have to finish it out as enlisted. And if that's not completed, they might place 'debts' on your account and subtract it out of future pay.
