In comparing Biden to Carter the Washington Post is attempting to boost Biden’s image.
Jim Carter was many things but he has an engineering degree was a Nuclear Naval officer by training and the governor of a major state. He did not use his office to enrich himself and his family.
If anything there are more differences with Carter than with any other dishonest, corrupt, immoral democratic president that we have had.
OK Carter was one of the worst presidents by many measures. But to put Biden is at a whole different level of incompetence, corruption and dishonesty.

I was on active duty in Germany for the entirety of the Carter Administration. Twice, we started Octobers with delayed paychecks. I had married soldiers with kids scrambling to put food on the table while waiting for the budget impasse to conclude.
His was the administration that rushed putting women into positions previously limited to men, before facilities were ready to take women.
Carter was far more respected overseas than Biden, too. My German neighbors pleaded with me to vote for him, as they were sure Reagan would start WWIII. At the local gasthaus, I repeatedly put my reasons for Reagan, in their language as I was nearly starting my fifth year in Germany and could speak it fairly well.
The debate was over on Inauguration Day, when the Iranians released the hostages.
Carter never turned the police, the FBI, the IRS, etc… on citizens who didn’t vote for him.
All the “little people” at my former workplace - those that never bothered to acquire the skills necessary to move up - are bitterly complaining about the price of gas and food.
I ask one question: Who did you vote for? Biden and Newsom?

Obama’s people, yes, but Obama wasn’t paying attention for a lot of his own presidency so I doubt he’s running things now. Look at the Democrats in Congress. They’re all marching in lockstep behind the administration. That’s where the party is now.
