A Russian spacecraft pushed the International Space Station out of position on Friday morning, prompting astronauts to go into emergency mode. It's the second time Russian hardware has caused such an incident since July.
Cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky was conducting engine tests on the Soyuz spaceship, which is docked to the ISS, on Friday morning when its thrusters fired too aggressively

I wonder if itโs on its way to Mars now? ๐๐ค๐
Does Cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky have his Learner’s Permit yet?
If it happens a Third time that’ll prove that it’s deliberate.๐ค
More Vodka is needed at the space station.

I'm not a rocket scientist, but I did pass physics in college.
WTH are they doing "testing" an engine in space and not expecting it to affect the ISS attached to it?
My grandfather had an old Chevy pickup that would do that when you needed to start it. No matter how gently you pressed the accelerator, it would suddenly dump too much gas into the carburetor and flood the engine, or if you got it started and were trying to back out slowly, would accelerate suddenly.
Hey, Cosmonauts! Check the linkage between the accelerator and the carburetor. Probably needs some oil.
Those crazy Russians are at it again.

Parts are parts.
From the movie Armageddon.
They need to get the space station to go to the Moon—because NASA is _done_ as a serious agency:

Those would have to be some pretty bad-@ss maneuvering thrusters to push the ISS out of earth orbit.
a bit more info - it took 30 min to regain control “after it lost positioning control at 5:13AM ET”
I hope the Russians aren’t too involved with the lunar gateway. They have seemed to get worse with time. There’s the Axiom commercial program which is supposed to be a subset of the ISS that’ll go on its own as well. I’d like the US to finally build a Freedom-style station, but that might be after I’m long gone.
