Secretary of Transportation has been on extended paid paternity leave since August, his office revealed Thursday night to Politico, finally answering the question of “Where is Mayor Pete?” that has been being asked as the nation has become mired in a supply chain crisis. Buttigieg and his husband Chasten became the parents of twins two months ago.

This begs the question: If you can be away from your job for two months, how necessary is your job to begin with?
who did he leave in charge? or did he just set his email to “out of office”?

He’s probably doing less damage on PTO than he would in the office.
Thus, he has a ready-made built-in scapegoat to take the fall, and then he’ll magically get things all working again as soon as he comes back. Quite clever.

Something stinks. The Transportation Secretary is on leave for TWO MONTHS without any public knowledge? Cabinet Secretaries are high visibility, and don’t just disappear for two months without informing people.
If Buttigieg doesn’t have time to be Transportation Secretary, he should resign immediately. Not that he’s qualified anyway.
Failed Naval Officer. Failed small town mayor. Failed presidential candidate. Failed Transportation Secretary.
President Trump would have been back on the job ASAP if this happened under his watch.
And Pete being gone while the wheels come off of the cart and the economy is destroyed- well, you see that this administration doesn’t give a damn about us.

He and his partner did not “become parents”-they adopted a set of twins-maybe they purchased them from a foreign country-either way, nobody gave birth but the kids’ mother-the only one who would really be on maternity leave. This is just an act set up to try to show a homosexual partnership as just ordinary parents-NOT! Pete needs to either get to work or resign-he is clueless and useless...
One TV show this morning called it Maternity Leave.
