to pony off this post, in California, Newsom has dictated that only trucks certified for California can truck into California. So, at Kingman or Barstow, trucks dump trailers at warehouses and those trailers are picked up by 'certified' trucks for delivery within Calif. The opposite is also true. Instead of temporarily easing these rules and allowing long-haul trucks to come into Calif to get their load at the port or internal warehouse point, and get going back east, they sit at the border and bottleneck. Just like the ships off the coast.

Something sounds wrong about that post.
The governor of California has no authority to restrict interstate trucking like that. Only “domestic” movements within the state are subject to state regulations.
