* Five dead and two wounded after 37-year-old Danish man launched attack in Norway with a bow and arrows
* Man is a convert to Islam and had been flagged to police for radicalism, investigators have revealed today
* Police say attack began at 6.12pm when man opened fire on locals at a supermarket with a volley of arrows, then fired on officers who arrived at 6.18pm - after which he escaped
* Man then killed five people, four women and a man aged between 50 and 70, before being arrested at 6.47pm
* Two people were hurt in the attack, police said, though their injuries are not thought to be life threatening

Police have not given an official motive for the attacks, though say terrorism will 'naturally' be investigated.
As well as radicalisation, the man was known for other crimes. The most-recent incident came in March last year when he went to his father's house armed with a Colt revolver and threatened to kill them. He eventually left the house without the gun, and two family members subsequently took out a restraining order against him.
It is not clear how he acquired the weapon, though handguns are illegal in Norway except for sports shooting.

Bows and crossbows are outlawed under the 1981 Game Act which states that all weapons used in sport must be ‘loaded with gunpowder’, while arrows are banned under the Penal Code which states that carrying a ‘sharp tool in a public place that is suitable for inflicting bodily harm’ is illegal. The punishment is one year in jail.
The hunting ban was enacted largely due to concerns voiced by animal activists that bows are cruel and take a long time to kill prey.

Here’s a crazy notion: When foreigners are in your country, and are “flagged as radicalized”, attracting police attention thus wasting public resources, deport their butts immediately. This particular loon had already threatened murder with a gun in his hand. Do criminals have special rights to squat in Norway until they commit murder? (We know they have special rights in America, but I thought Norway had more sense).
Next, go after whoever and whatever is doing the radicalizing. Prosecute them for the murders their student committed.

Not one of the reports I read late last night mentioned that the killer was a Muslim - but it was obvious that he was.
Now that the msm has revealed that he is, indeed, a muslim - the story is dead.
OTOH, why is it always bow and arrow attack but not a gun and bullet attack?

Liberals would rather have a few people die and be mourned than to prevent people from dying. If people don’t die, there’s no news. If people do die, it’s depopulation. This is how they find the common ground between zero population growth and journalists. There’s also the advantage of working towards the imposition of a police state to make sure everyone is working together towards common goals.
