Supply Chain Disruptions Force White House to Ask Walmart, UPS, FedEx to Increase Output
The Epoch Times ^ | 10-13-21 | Jack Philliphs

Carriers of goods including Walmart, UPS, and FedEx are moving to work more shifts—including 24 hours per day, seven days per week—to address global supply disruptions that have contributed to a surge in inflation, the White House said Wednesday.

The update was announced ahead of President Joe Biden’s meeting with the heads of Walmart, FedEx, and UPS to address the supply chain bottlenecks before the Christmas season.

According to a fact sheet released by the administration, Walmart said it would “increase its use of night-time hours significantly and projects they could increase throughput by as much as 50 percent over the next several weeks.”

Meanwhile, UPS said it would commit to use 24/7 operations “and enhanced data sharing with the ports” to move more containers out of ports, said the White House.

And FedEx, the fact sheet said, will “work to combine an increase in nighttime hours with changes to trucking and rail use to increase the volume of containers it will move from the ports.”

UPS and FedEx combined shipped approximately 40 percent of U.S. packages by volume in 2020, the White House said. A White House official told news outlets on Wednesday that FedEx, UPS, and Walmart will move toward a 24/7 working schedule.

So these Biden Democrat "geniuses" have managed to come up with a plan that unloads an extra 1/3 of a container ship a week. I guess they missed there are 100 container ships waiting off LA alone to unload.

They think that just by saying do it, it magically happens. My tummy hurts. Well tell your tummy not to hurt. Same thing.

Ah, the supply chain logjam is causing inflation, not the fiscal malfeasance of the Democrats.

That’s the ticket.

Lemmere see if I have this right ....

The democrats upset the entire planet because they didn't like President Trump.

All life turned upside down for almost two years, to be corrected now by the state forcing the companies to go back to where they were.

Classic Fascism.

There were no problems with the supply-chain, until the Biden administration took over.

Now, it’s window dressing, with the hope that things will work themselves out.

Incompetents all around, starting with the people who are pulling the strings on the Biden puppet.

Dems are worried about empty store shelves during the holidays. Can’t hide that from the sheeple.

Gee, I'm sure FedEx, Walmart and UPS never thought of that!

Increase business? WOW...we never knew!

We had a good free market economy and things hummed along. President Trump never begged anybody.

Now Xiden begs the Chinamen, begs Hillary's Walmart Deplorables, begs the Arabs, begs the Oil Companies. And he is the one who F***** it all up in the first place. We are being governed by a behind the scenes Soros Cabal. Anyone who thinks Xiden has the ability to do this on his own is deluded.

Biden has dementia, and he only does what his handler tell him to do.

Make everything here in the USA. This would solve all of our supply problems. Forever. But first kill all the Free Traitors™.

It’s just lip service on the part of the Biden administration. UPS and Fedex have been running all out since Covid started. Now Biden announces that he’s come up with this genius plan no one else has thought of...he’ll just get them to work nights. If he’d ever been awake after 8 pm he might have noticed that these carriers are running full bore all night. They’re having the same problems all other businesses have, they can’t find workers.

Notice he didn't even bother asking the US Post Office to work faster.

It looks like the Bidenmeister Meisterbiden is going to be starting as the villain in Santa Claus Ain't Comin' to Town.

My FedEx driver said over a month ago that he works 7 days a week so this isn't new. Today he said there's "Help Wanted" signs all over where he works.

PS I order pet food from Chewy and it comes FedEx.

There were no problems with the supply-chain,

Oh there were and are huge problems. For example the offshoring destroying the USA'a manufacturing base. It has been devastating.

Increasing flow out of the bottleneck doesn’t stop the bottleneck.

And you cannot go from 100% to 130% very long without other shit breaking.

Are there 30% more truckers, trucks, cranes, crane operators? And when stuff breaks 30% more often…are there parts to fix them?

I don’t think “process engineering” is Joe’s strong suit.
