Three years ago, the only people who’d ever heard of Pete Buttigieg were likely to be residents of South Bend, Ind., the town of 103,000 people where he served as mayor.
South Bend is home to Notre Dame University. It has a bus station with a fleet of 60 buses, a small train station and a small regional airport. So, who better for Team Biden to nominate as secretary of the Department of Transportation, which employs more than 58,000 employees – more than half the population of South Bend – and has a budget of $87 billion?

His current position is a consolation prize for having participated in the primaries.

I had to pass this along to my better half who is in the supply chain business. We had just been talking about putting people who aren’t suited for a job into a job for which they have no experience. It dooms a company to failure, and a country, too. The inadequacy of the Biden-Biden-Harris administration is on full display for everyone to see.

Pete Buttigieg is the number one poster child for demonstrating exactly how the Peter Principle works. Congrats Pete, you have arrived.
Actually, you arrived in your previous position. Your current position is sort of a bonus for being a screw up.

For Democrats, qualifications mean nothing. It’s all a matter of checking the “right” box to appease their woke supporters.
Actually, I think he was hired because he agreed to drop out of the race and endorse Biden. He cut a deal. And, perhaps also because he is a communist, as was his professor father. Shades of Obama. The gay thing mattered, but it was secondary.

Logistics and supply chains win wars. Looks like we are screwed.
