Pete Buttigieg would be lucky to have been competent at some level and then promoted to a level of incompetence. He was not competent at any level.
Buttigieg is a clear example of the Dilbert Principle. From Wikipedia: "The Dilbert principle is a concept in management developed by Scott Adams, creator of the comic strip Dilbert, which states that companies tend to systematically promote incompetent employees to management to get them out of the workflow."
In addition to being incompetent, the man's a fraud. Who would believe any statement from a man who driven by his staff to an area near a cabinet meeting and then ride the last few blocks on his bicycle to pretend he is a cycling commuter?
