The more the government tries to dictate private behavior, be it personal or economic, with incentives, laws, regulations, tax policies and propaganda, the worse American life becomes. If a truly rational, conservative government came to power, its greatest legacy would be to dismantle about 60% of the Federal government.

If it can be done without labor unions, I’m all for MADE IN THE USA. If not, I prefer buying from China, as they don’t hate this country as much as our labor unions.

Step 1 - stop regulating the life out of businesses.

The Democrat Elite don't like that. America and American citizens are to be suppressed so Socialism can be implemented.

No the Media an the majority of Dems will oppose this. Now you will know why.

Maybe the author should have said something about the “election” when it might have made a difference.

There is a lot of hand-wringing and buyers remorse for the selection forced on all of us. It grates on the ears.

>>What they want are provisions that will create jobs.

Is that really the biggest problem we have now? create new jobs for who? companies can’t fill the openings that already exist, so how is creating ‘more jobs’ going to solve anything.

What we need to do is have bigger incentives to work - like ‘work or you lose your house and starve to death’.

Stop making it so comfortable for the layabouts.

You realize only 10% of the manufacturing sector is unionized?

Step 1 - stop regulating the life out of businesses.
Step 2- Really high protective import tariffs.

Because wages are too low.

Yes, make them in America, make them add 50,000 environmental and safety features we will never need. Build them with union labor that is triple the cost free states could build them for. Then we can have an American made car, list price $120,000 for a base model…

You know Freepers, the Republican Party doesn’t have to continue to be the anti worker party. The GOP wasn’t always anti worker. Limbaugh is dead now, I loved the guy but... and the gloBULList free trade economic cheerleader was wrong about this issue.

Steve you are a boob. You write about incentivizing domestic industry BUT FAIL TO MENTION TARIFFS? That is laughable. Republican Party is the stupid party.

So, incentives for Toyotas, Hondas, Kias, Hyundais and Mercedes instead of those foreign made vehicles like Ford and GM?

BS union cars cost about $30,000 of which about $2,000 - $2,500 goes towards labor. That is union made. Non union it even less per car. Stop with your simplistic Free Traitor&™ lies.

Ok it seems many Freepers and Republicans in general are stuck in the mid 20th century anti union psychic derangement syndrome. More then half of vehicles still made in the USA are non union built. In general manufacturing almost entirely non union.
