Figuring out the lack of connection between CO2 and ice ages
American Thinker.com ^ | October 12, 2021 | Ralph Ellis

Here is a bizarre observation: Climate scientists claim they can explain every facet of the climate-weather system, yet they still don’t know why ice-ages occur. Isn’t that peculiar? They will arm-wave about orbital cycles (regular and specific changes in the earth’s orbital relationship to the sun) and CO2, while desperately hoping you won’t ask troubling questions, such as “Why do some orbital cycles produce ice-ages and interglacials (that is, the milder climates between ice ages), while others do nothing at all?” Or “Why should a climate system be selective in its response to orbital cycles?”

And that’s not the only problem for classical climate scientists because they have not even begun to explain the convoluted complexities of the ice-age cycle. And yet they will still claim a thorough understanding of both ancient and modern climate systems.

There were no answers to these problems—until now....

To begin, what are the missing pieces from this palaeoclimatic jigsaw puzzle?

Contrarian CO2 feedbacks

The first problem for CO2 supposedly controlling global temperatures during the Earth’s many ice-ages is that when CO2 concentrations were high the world cooled and when CO2 was low the world warmed. This counter-intuitive temperature response strongly suggests that CO2 was not the primary feedback agent.

There’s a great new book (published in past nine months) called Fake Invisible Catastrophes and Threats of Doom, by Dr Patrick Moore...who talks to this CO2 subject a great deal. Brings the discussion down to an understandable level (in plain English).

Would recommend it (200 pages, easily read over a week). Whole C02 discussion is a fairly tale.

Only part of the radiation we receive comes from the Sun. Their 11 know radiation cycles. CO2 doesn’t not var heat, water vapor carries heat. The greenhouse effect is a ruse. The cannot figure out the relationship between solar radiation and CO2 because there is none (of any consequence). When you don’t want to see you close your eyes.

Must continue to cherry pick data, modify the analysis programs until the desired outcome get spit out.

There is no correlation, therefore, causation is not even implied.

And even if some correlation could be inferred, that still would not imply causation.

Carbon dioxide is a TRAILING indicator of planetary warming or cooling, and in any event, does not have enough impact on climate to alter change in any way.

Particulate matter floating in the atmosphere, enough so to affect the amount of sunlight falling on earth, has a profound effect on the degree of global cooling on a relatively short term. But as the particulate matter falls back to earth, the warming trends begin.

Now, dust clouds of matter that spread in interplanetary space, between the earth and the sun, do have a much longer effect on planetary cooling, and take a lot longer to disperse.

Known in scientific circles as the “Finagle factor”, a magic and variable constant, that when used to multiply or divide the empirical results, comes out with the desired answer.

Not known to be replicable in subsequent experimentation.

I’ll try the Kindle version of this.

I think they’re using the Finagke factor in a lot more science experiments than they’re telling us.

Milankovitch cycles.

Ruthlessly attacked by recent climate “experts” but the only rational explanation for ice ages. Probably under siege since carbon dioxide had nothing to do with it. Can’t blame America First crowd or humans at all.

Because the demonization of CO2 is a religion, not science.

And the goal of this religion is Marxism.

Younger Dryas ice age was caused by a meteor impact. Do the math.
