A 2018 study asked 2,100 adults to identify what they believed about a wide range of political issues and then asked them to estimate what people in the other political party believed about those same issues.
The study found that centrists and those not interested in politics did much better at estimating what the other party believed than politically involved partisans. But while a person’s level of education made no difference when Republicans estimated what Democrats believe, the more time Democrats spent in school, the worse they did at identifying what Republicans believed. Democrats with a high school degree did worse than those without. Democrats with a college degree did worse than high school graduates. And Democrats with a graduate degree did worst of all.
It seems that the longer liberals stay walled off in communities dominated by their own kind, which is exactly what higher education has become, the worse they are at understanding and empathizing with those who hold other views.

What I am searching for is an example of the right grossly mischaracterizing the left.
Must be something wrong with me. I was educated at VERY Liberal Christian universities. and I understand progressives, Democrats, Republicans, and Aryan Brotherhood types quite well.
I see all points of view and at least to them their views are all valid. To them.
All I want is the right to pursue life, liberty, and happiness, un-impeded by Progressives, Democrats, Republicans, and Aryan Brotherhood types.
Because they won’t listen.

Especially one who was all for girl power and women’s rights / dignity.

It’s this bubble folks put themselves into...their tribes... where they don’t interact with folks not their kind.
A very myopic view of the world. Close-minded, indoctrinated.
Brings to mind Ronald Reagan’s quote about liberals, “It isn’t so much that liberals are ignorant. It’s just that they know so many things that aren’t so.”
The idea is simple, to cosider another perspective is seen as (potential) validity for that point-of-view. That cannot be allowed since we are deemed flawed, less than or illegitimate. If one (or their opinion) is deemed so then they can be summarily dismissed.
They’re brainwashed Satanic Stalinazis. They stole the label “liberal”, which is what Conservative now means.
They don’t even know what they themselves believe.

Their arrogance and ingrained hypocrisy of liberals and hipsters does not allow them to be able to know anything about others.

You are right, the term “liberal” really applies to more Republicans than Democrats. Democrats as currently formed are more akin to fascists than anything else. Maybe neo-feudalism is also appropriate. They tried the whole lord-serf system in the antebellum South, trading lord with plantation owner and serf with African. Now they want that system worldwide.
