I dont know if anyone read the article, but the parents didnt just leave the kids home for a few hours.

They are both in another country.

I grew up as a latch key kid, but I think leaving a 14yr old to care for a 12yr old for a week is wrong. They were more worried about his perfect attendance than leaving him home for a week?

Im not sure what the laws are in their state, but im guessing they probably broke a few.

The other stuff posted in the story about the Police and School, is disturbing.

On the other hand, somebody facing a felony wouldn’t lie about their case to make people sympathetic for them, would they?

Already been found not guilty, so no, a jury did not think they had broken any laws.

But the cops most certainly violated multiple constitutional rights.
