Heavy marijuana users who are also vaccinated may be more susceptible to breakthrough cases of COVID-19, a new study found.
The study, published last Tuesday in World Psychology, found that those with a substance use disorder (SUD) — a dependence on marijuana, alcohol, cocaine, opioids and tobacco — were more likely to contract the coronavirus after receiving both of their vaccination shots.
Those without a SUD saw a 3.6 percent rate of breakthrough infections, compared to a 7 percent rate in those with a SUD.

Another great reason not to take the jab, imo!
Because it's the same FDA reporting on cannibis that is reporting on the CoVID debacle, and on the harm caused by e-cigarettes (by leaving the numbers out of the report on tar, which e-cigs don't have).
There is also the fact that smoking pot or tobacco or snorting cocaine does weaken the lungs which are COVID’s main target.
As for alcohol dependency also leading to more breakthrough cases I agree with you about it (along with the above)playing havoc with the immune system but I think it may also have to do with how heavy drinking affects the function of the pancreas. (I think how it affects peripheral serotonin levels is at play here but articles on this are way above my pay grade.)There are several articles on serotonin transporter mRNA as it relates to alcoholism which I wish I understood better. But I have a gut feeling this is of importance regarding those breakthrough cases.
I will ping this as my sister should read this.
She smokes and drinks and smokes the devil weed from time to time. She has always been stupid.
