A Florida man exonerated of rape and murder after 37 years in prison is suing police and the city of Tampa over his wrongful conviction and initial death sentence.
Robert DuBoise, 56, left prison in late Aug. 2020 after officials revealed new evidence that proved his innocence. Untested DNA evidence from a rape kit proved he did not rape and murder 19-year-old Barbara grams in 1983. No one else had been arrested.

I watch every true crime show and it is shocking how often this happened. With DNA now it’s different, but there is a famous one and together the falsely accused and the woman who accused him wrote a book called, “PICKING COTTEN.” I for one am glad their are organizations who go back and do the DNA testing that could not be done back then. It is heartbreaking.
Someone is about to become very rich.
What does that have to do with anything. People of all colors are falsely accused all the time. Stop making everything about race.

There is not enough money to cover 37 years in prison.

I agree.
Every person in prison who could be exonerated by a DNA test needs to have that test done ASAP. I am tired of hearing about innocent people having to fight the system to get this done. The worst thing we do is punish innocent people, and it reflects very poorly on us that there is not more outrage over it.
Apparatchik is not the one who is making everything about race; it is the center Left who makes everything about race, or haven't you noticed? Apparatchik is merely observing this filthy, disgusting race mongering we are constantly bombarded with.

1983 dollars, plus paid his lawyer 1/3, plus paid all expenses for the lawsuit, my guess is the final amount would be well over 50 million.
And, who among us would stay locked up for 75% of the good years of your life for a measly 100 grand a year?

I understand your comment but I prefer to view it as someone who is about to recover financial compensation that was withheld from him by the govt.....and more due to their incompetence.......
10 Billion dollars will never restore what this man has lost due to 37 years in prison..
I can't fathom what what it must be like to spend 37 years of your life in prison for something you didn't do. Then get out and find the world has completely changed..........
