“This is going to be a massive invasion of financial privacy,” Merski said. “The last thing we need is everyone’s financial account information being turned over to the (IRS) in a massive dragnet.”

That’s exactly what the 16th amendment did. It gave th federal government the power to help themselves to whatever portion of your paycheck first, and then magnanimously hand you what’s left.
That amendment did more to destroy the founding principles of this country then any other action.

If there were investigative journalists worth a good curse, this would have been looked into.
There would be no reason to remain an American citizen , it would make more sense to rescind citizenship and become a citizen pretty much anywhere else.
