HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER China unleashes ‘humpback’ Type 094 nuke subs that can reach US with ‘quieter & stealthier’ upgrades amid WW3 fears

CHINA is preparing to unleash its nuclear submarines which hide 12 nuclear missiles in their distinctive "humpback".

Beijing has reportedly been pushing through upgrades for the Type 094 "Jin" class boats amid the threat of a potential military clash with the US.

Fears of war are rising as China makes increasingly bold pushes towards the separatist island of Taiwan, with President Xi Jingping pledging "reunification".

US military chiefs have always promised to defend the island enclave, but a potential military confrontation with China is feared to risk spiraling into a theoretical World War 3.

China appear to making the ready for the threat of such a large scale conflict - with focus being placed on its nuclear missile-carrying submarines that prowl the Pacific.

With 12 nuclear missiles aboard each of the "Jins", just one of the vessels has enough firepower to kill millions and wipe out cities.

The submarines are reportedly capable of carrying China's JL-3 "Big Wave" missiles which have a range of 7,500 miles, more than enough to reach the continental US.

And each submarine is believed to already have unlimited range thanks to its nuclear powered propulsion, meaning they can in theory reach the shores of the both US coasts.

Be a shame if one of those subs ran into a Kraken and exploded

Basically they are a 12 missile version of a Russian Delta 4 SSBN.

The raft of developments are said to address issues which the large submarines had, such as being very noisy, to hep them stay undetected.

Sound quieting is built into the sub from the beginning. There's a limit to what you can do after they're in the water. The Chinese boats are like the first generation U.S. SSBN. They took a fast attack hull and built a missile compartment onto it. As a result there is little streamlining and a lot of limber holes and protrusions to create noise.

Y’all remember this? Deep state and propaganda media tried to brush this off. This was China or Russia sending a message to the U.S. gubbamint.

If there is a war between China and 7 other allied nations, is it really a world war?

+++++++++++++++++++++

I’m pretty sure the answer to your question is - YES. However, if the Red Sox play the Brewers for the baseball championship, is it the World Series?

This was China or Russia sending a message to the U.S. gubbamint.

Russia, and probably China as well, could hit the U.S. with a sub launched ballistic missile from their own waters. Why would they come to the U.S. coast to fire one? And if it was a missile where did it land?

Response time. The closer you get the more likely you hit your target before they can shoot back.

>>Why would they come to the U.S. coast to fire one?<<

For the same reason we would. Delivery time. A sub launched missile can thwart missile defenses and hit targets within minutes without going sub orbital.

Launching thousands of miles from a target, the missile needs to reach a sub orbital state and utilize the rotation/curvature of the earth to shorten delivery time. Sub launch...not so much.

Then you don't need ballistic missiles for that.

Then why design a missile with a 6000 mile range? And again, if this was in fact a Chinese or Russian missile then where did it land?

ICBMs carry larger payloads. IIRC the old Soviet SS-25 could carry 3 25 megaton warheads.

That'll ruin pretty much anything.

For the same reason we would.

Except the U.S. doesn't. U.S. ballistic missile subs are in the middle of the Atlantic and the Pacific where they have millions of square miles to hide in.

Until war breaks out, but don’t be deceived. There are cat and mouse games played with our adversaries constantly.

It was a plane coming over the horizon towards the US.
Active imaginations saw it as a missile.
