Gov. Gavin Newsom has rejected a bill that would have made California the first state to pay people to stay sober.
But just because Newsom vetoed the bill on Friday does not mean the drug treatment program won't happen in California.
Newsom supports the treatment, known as contingency management. But he wants to test it out first before signing a law to make it permanent.

Wow. I’ve been sober 25 years. Where’s my money. lol. What a completely idiotic state. They are looking for any reason to just throw away tax payers money or pocket it themselves—which is the same thing. I really do despise the horrendous liberal/lefty politics. But doing all I can to be in the solution with conservative action and causes while also working hard to stay sober and sane which is not a gift of money. But of service, love, gratitude, action, and daily surrender to a power greater than myself which I call God :D.
I’ve got 32 years in a couple weeks. I should get a helluva check.
Coming up on 51 years in January, I’ve got you beat.
Insanity running wild with Gov. Newsome.
In this case, though, he vetoed it.
Will it have daily payouts? Will they track your malt liquor purchases? Are there do-overs? Soooo many questions...
For now....he wants more.
Fantastic! Congratulations!
Fantastic! Congratulations! :D
I am at 33 1/2 & continuing.
Do keep in mind that with the corrupt 2020 election the Dems were able to funnel your states’ monies to states like CaCaLand to fund crappola like this. Billions were allocated to cover damages of the mostly peaceful demos by the DNC-commissioned Antif/BLM thugs. Don’t even hope that such monies were not diverted to fund giveaway programs like this.
Like OBama said, elections have consequences. This last one more than others — not only because it is the last.
Contingency Management = Bribes
It’s the only management democrats know how to do.
Congrats!
